It was not an account termination email but not so suppress that hard work publishers shocked by the email. A lot of hard work wasted by promoting your AdSense sites in the wrong way.
Violate any of the Google TOS and policy.You get banned (usually last minute ).
Google AdSense team informed you that they had found violations of Google policy on one of your websites when your earning reach the payroll but no detail given. You have to guess whats happened,so this could be the reason.The one that you not aware!
Google states this in the "Guidelines for Third Party Use of Google Brand Features" (http://www.google.com/permissions/guidelines.html). Are you violate that guideline. Google requires publishers to obtain written permission if they "interested" to use their trademarks.

Obviously ,Many New/old Publishers doesn't release this and they just keep on promoting their web site with the above violations .
Do remember, These violations have nothing to do with invalid clicks or impressions. This could be the reason why you get banned from Adsense.
